A message to our Milestone family on COVID-19
Our Milestone family is just that- a family made up of therapists, staff, children, families, and the communities we serve. The health and safety of our family and yours is of the utmost importance to us and is currently our top priority. We are all anxious and even a little bit scared because of COVID-19 right now. This letter is to assure you that we are taking every precaution possible to minimize its spread and assure that everyone who enters our doors is safe. We love you and want to continue supporting you and your family during this trying time!
Out of an abundance of caution, we have taken the following steps beyond our usual cleaning practices and infection control to assure that we keep a safe environment for you, your family, and our staff.
For our home health and early intervention patients. We are glad to continue treating your child in the natural setting. We want to continue serving your children. If we are coming to your home, please know that anything we bring into your home for treatment has also been thoroughly disinfected. We will wear gloves when treating your children and take any other precautions that you deem necessary to keep your family/home safe and healthy.
We ask, however, that you and your family be cautious and do not come to the office if you have a fever, a cough, or other flu-like symptoms. If you have these symptoms, please call our office to reschedule.
Just know at Milestone Pediatric Therapy Services you and your family will always be safe and cared for. Thank you for your continued trust and confidence and your cooperative effort towards maintaining health and well-being.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have taken the following steps beyond our usual cleaning practices and infection control to assure that we keep a safe environment for you, your family, and our staff.
- We have increased the frequency of cleaning throughout the day with a focus on large equipment, small toys, bathrooms, lobby area, and any doorknobs/handles in our office.
- We have implemented enhanced protocols for cleaning surfaces, and each treatment surface used during a child’s session will be disinfected before the next patient.
- We have installed hand sanitizer in each office and in the lobby which can be accessed as you enter the clinic.
- We have educated staff on best practice in keeping themselves and others safe, including not touching one’s face, and staying home if sick.
- Our therapists will now be wearing gloves during a child’s session, washing a child’s hands before and after the session, and then changing gloves prior to beginning with their next patient.
- We have masks readily available for our therapists (At this point, Milestone is asking each parent/therapist to communicate directly about the need for use of a mask during a treatment session). Unfortunately, we do not have enough masks for all of the children we serve. If you would like them to wear a mask, that is fine, and we can do the same if so desired. If you would like support for your child in wearing a mask, we are glad to help!
- We will continue to closely follow the guidance of the CDC and local health officials for additional measures.
